During my backpacking adventure, I stumbled upon a hidden gem nestled in the wilderness. the location of this ranch was breathtaking, with stunning views of mountains, forests, and a gentle running stream. the spacious and rustic cottage I stayed in provided a cozy and comfortable retreat after a long day of hiking in Wells Gray Provincial Park. the owner, Lars, cooked a delicious steak dinner, showcasing his culinary skills. the ranch served as the perfect base to explore nearby attractions like Spahats Falls, Moul Falls, and Clearwater Lake.

There were some minor maintenance issues with the room that could be improved.

The location was perfect for our Easter getaway, nestled in the beautiful countryside with stunning views. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the opportunity to meet other travelers. The rustic cabins were a nice change from typical hotels. The salmon dinner was a highlight, truly delicious.

Additionally, it was unclear from the website whether breakfast was included in the room fee, causing some confusion. The grounds were minimally maintained, with unmowed vegetation and a mousetrap in the room.

The lack of variety in dinner options was disappointing, as there were no non-salad sides or accompaniments offered. The absence of Wi-Fi and phone signal in the cottage was inconvenient, especially for those who rely on connectivity during their stay.

The peaceful ambiance and beautiful alpine architecture made us feel truly unplugged. The lack of cell service and absence of TVs in the rooms allowed us to fully disconnect from the outside world and enjoy the blissful silence. The cabins were clean and well-equipped, and the homemade bread served for breakfast was delicious. we had a pleasant experience.
